In Appreciation of My Favorite YE Bloggers

Oke Atatah recently wrote a really really nice post about what he’s learned from my blog.   At the end he wrote:

Adam, my challenge to you is to write an appreciation to someone that you admire. I would love to see how far it goes. Thanks again for all you have done for me!

This reminds me of my Something We Should Do More Of post from over the summer.  There are actually three young entrepreneur bloggers that I really admire.  I can’t really pick between them, so I think I’ll mention them all.  They are the ones who I get super excited to see a new post from in my feed reader.  I generally skip over all of the other blogs I read and get right to them.

  1. Nevblog – a really candid read about Nev Medhora’s crazy experiences as an entrepreneur.  I say “crazy” because he does stuff like crash Elton John performances and photo the GooglePlex.  He also writes about business.  He does experiments such as trying to re-sell bottled water or make a profit from scratch off loto tickets, while also giving away a lot of his “business secrets” for his successful dropshipping e-commerce site House of Rave.
  2. Guru Gilbert – Adam Gilbert, founder of My Body Tutor, has to be the most intensely passionate person I’ve ever encountered, and it shines through on his posts.  Some of my favorites: Does getting married serve any purpose these days?, The difference between inspiration and motivation and how it can change your life, The endless universe and why there are no such things as UFO’s, and Do you believe in God?
  3. Jun’s Startup Life – I interviewed Jun Loiza a few months back, just after I had met him.  The post inspired some interesting discussion, as do many of his posts on Brazen Careerist.  Jun is the most honest blogger I’ve ever read.  He wears his emotions on his sleeves and isn’t afraid to write any post, no matter how controversial or no matter how much it reveals about the ups and downs of his company.  A few of my favorites:  Sex is overrated, I don’t need a work/life balance, How my startup team almost killed each other, and 5 Reasons not to be an entrepreneur.

Keep up the great blogs guys!  They really make me a better entrepreneur/person.  Also, I know all of you are super busy, but it would be cool if each of you also did a similar post to “pay it forward” sometime soon :)
