Dan -

Yes and no: for a lot of companies I'm sure that's the case.

We're in a somewhat remote location where we are BY FAR the smallest company in the industrial park. I've spoken to our FedEx driver a few times and he says he's usually delivering in the park from around 7 - 9 AM. It's unrealistic/unfair to expect them to send another driver all the way out here every time we have one (relatively speaking) tiny shipment.

Also - a lot of our shipments come from shipping contractors (not FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc). I'd have to ask George or Greg to be sure, but I'm guessing there are 5 - 10 other small shipping companies that deliver to us.

Maybe we could get them all to agree to come between 10 AM and 4 PM, but I'd rather just make a minor change in my schedule and not have to deal with any of the headaches.

Most shipping companies will document and keep your hours, it saves them from showing up and not having anyone there to accept.
